The nanoMOOCs come from the hybridization of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) that a few years ago have inundated the Internet and revolutionized online learning. NanoMOOCs focus on just one competence to make the learning process much more effective. This is the central feature of nanoMOOC: to focus on a very specific content (a competence) and a short time (a week).
The nanoMOOCs project is part of the RIS3CAT Mèdia Community, which brings together thirty-five companies, administration, technology centers and universities around the cultural and creative industries. It will promote eight projects that until 2023 will affect different areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, hyper-personalization, cybersecurity and the development of new formats, among others. The execution of eight projects will receive an aid of 6 million euros from the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, granted through ACCIÓ.
